3/20/09	Phil presented a continuing legal education seminar in St. Louis and live on the web entitled "The New World of Workers' Compensation."
3/13/09	Phil was inducted as one of the first 100 Fellows in the College of Workers' Compensation Lawyers in New Orleans, LA.
2/19/09	John was a guest lecturer on the topic of Workers' Compensation at the St. Louis University School of law.
10/10/08	Mike attended the annual meeting and seminar of the Workers' Injury Law and Advocacy Group. Mike serves on the Executive Board of this national organization of attorneys who represent injured workers.
10/7/08	John was awarded the Workers' Compensation distinguished lawyer award presented by the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and Kid's Chance, Inc. of Missouri. This award is given annually to a member of the claimant's bar, defense bar, or the judiciary for a St. Louis Workers' Compensation attorney "whose honesty, integrity, competence, zeal, selflessness and leadership has earned the respect of the community by practicing law in the manner in which all should."
6/20/08	Phil presented a CLE program entitled "The Annual Update on Workers' Compensation Law" at the MATA convention at the Lake of the Ozarks.
5/29/08	Mike attended the Missouri Bar Annual Ethics Seminar.
3/27/08	Mike attended the American Bar Association's Workers' Compensation 2-day seminar, covering national transit issues. Mike was also appointed to the ABA's Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability Law Committee.
2/21/08	John was a guest lecturer on the topic of Workers' Compensation at the St. Louis University School of Law.
11/29/07	Phil participated in the preparation and presentation of the oral argument regarding the constitutionality of the new worker's compensation law before the Missouri Supreme Court. The decision is pending.
7/3/07	The first Industrial Commission case discussing the 2005 definition of accident and "the prevailing factor" was handed down. See Norman v Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the Commissions web site.
6/22/07	Phil spoke at the annual MATA Convention at the Lake of the Ozarks updating the members on the years' important workers' compensation Court of Appeals and Supreme Court cases.
10/3/06	John was a featured speaker (for the second time) at the 4th Annual Workers' Compensation Distinguished Lawyer Award sponsored by The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and by Kid's Chance Inc. of Missouri - a charitable organization that provides scholarships for the children of workers who have been killed or disabled as a result of work-related injuries.
9/29/06 - 9/30/06	Phil attended the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys Executive Committee and Board of Governors meetings in Vail, Colorado.
9/19/06	John was a participant in a panel discussion regarding recent changes in the Missouri workers' compensation law, presenting the injured workers' viewpoint at a seminar sponsored by the Missouri Self-Insurer's Association. Later that same day, he presented oral argument before the Missouri Eastern District Court of Appeals in a workers' compensation claim in a "case of first impression" involving the interpretation of the workers' compensation law's statute of limitations.
7/13/06 - 7/18/06	Mike attended American Trial Lawyers Association's annual meeting in Seattle. There he served as moderator of the Workers' Compensation and Workplace Injury seminar. Topics included Federal Workers' Compensation benefits, Longshore benefits, Social Security Disability and Medicare benefits, and the representation of injured workers with immigrant status. This meeting ended Mike's year of service as Chairman of the Workers' Compensation and Workplace Injury section of American Trial Lawyers Association.
6/22/06 - 6/25/06	Phil attended the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys Annual Convention at the Lake of the Ozarks. There he attended the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys Executive Committee and Board of Governors meetings. He also co-presented the annual update of the case law seminar on Workers' Compensation issues.
5/4/06 - 5/6/06	Mike attended the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group annual meeting in Orlando. He serves on its Executive Board.
3/9/06	John represented the claimant in a mock trial conducted as part of the final exam for students studying workers' compensation law at St. Louis University School of Law.
2/17/06 - 2/23/06	Mike attended American Trial Lawyers Association's mid-year meeting in Hawaii. There he co-chaired a joint Workers' Compensation/Social Security Disability Forum.
2/16/06 - 2/17/06	Phil attended the Workers Injury Law & Advocacy Group Longshore Seminar in San Francisco.
12/2/05	Phil attended the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys Executive Committee and Board of Governors meetings in St. Louis.
10/21/05	Phil presented a continuing legal education seminar on the 2005 statutory changes to the Missouri Workers' Compensation law in St. Louis. Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys was the sponsor.
