John J. Larsen Jr.

Born and raised in St. Louis, married with six children, John has spent just over half his life representing injured workers in Missouri and in Illinois.

John graduated from St. Louis University High School in 1974 and from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1976. He graduated from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1980. While in law school, he took a year’s leave of absence and lived in Poland where John met people who later played a significant role in the Solidarity union movement. Also while in law school, he did legal and medical research for a law firm representing injured workers.

John has been licensed to practice law both in Missouri and in Illinois since 1980, and he has devoted his practice exclusively to the representation of injured workers in workers’ compensation cases. John has tried hundreds of cases and has handled claims at every administrative and judicial level both in Missouri and in Illinois, including both the Missouri and Illinois Supreme Courts. He has served on the Missouri Bar Workers’ Compensation legislative subcommittee and, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial attorneys. John actively participated in the drafting and passage of workers’ compensation laws that provided increased benefits for trade union workers and for workers with multiple jobs.

John has received an AV rating from Martindale Hubbell, the organization's highest rating of legal ability based upon a survey of other practicing attorneys. They recognized him as a legal professional that follows strict ethical standards and is acknowledged for his exceptional legal ability.

John currently handles workers’ compensation claims on behalf of the firm in eastern and central Missouri , primarily in St. Louis , St. Charles , and Jefferson counties.
