Biography:


Mike Feist has represented injured workers in southern and central Illinois since 1980.

Following graduation from O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon, Illinois in 1972, he worked as an underground coal miner along side his father and brother while attending Washington University in St. Louis. Mike graduated from Washington University in 1976 and from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1980. He is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Missouri.

Mike presently serves as Chairman of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America’s Workers’ Compensation and Workplace Injury Section. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Workplace Injury Litigation and Advocacy Group. Both organizations are national associations of attorneys who limit their practice to representing injured workers and their families.

Mike has also served two terms on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section Council and currently serves on the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee.

As an author and speaker on workers’ compensation issues, Mike has advocated the rights of injured workers for over 25 years. He served as a workers’ compensation attorney and counselor for the United Mine Workers of America from 1984 to 1990. He is a principal shareholder in the firm.

Mike resides in Belleville, Illinois with his wife, who teaches high school science classes for District 187 in Cahokia , Illinois , and their three children.
